Each year, EarthWorks recognizes businesses, clubs, organizations and/or individuals that deserves special recognition for their work on behalf of a clean, healthy environment. All too often, these organizations' and individuals' efforts go unrecognized and unacknowledged. Attend the V.I.P. Reception and help us acknowledge these extraordinary efforts.
We depend upon members of the San Diego community to nominate their own environmental heroes. There are no restrictions on who may be nominated. It could be a student that has setup a recycling program at their school... a restaurant that has converted to recycled paper products... a biomedical company that has replaced water-intensive plants around their facility with drought-tolerant native species... a government department that has eliminated pesticide use.. a non-profit organization that is promoting zero-emission vehicles... the list of possibilities is endless.

EarthFair Volunteer Awards
San Diego EarthWorks’ annual EarthFair in Balboa Park is the largest free environmental fair and Earth Day celebration in the world. Significantly, the event is produced by around 350 volunteers.
This large group of volunteers, many of whom are volunteering for the first time, is managed by a cadre of about 35 team leaders. Many of these team leaders come back year after year to produce this landmark event.
We take this opportunity to honor the team leaders who have volunteered for 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years.
